Privacy Policy
This policy explains what data examie uses, why it is needed, and how a student or legal representative can control it.
1. Who is responsible for data
The personal data controller is ИП ЭКЗАМИ, BIN 021217500990, address: г. Алматы, 050012, ул. Муратбаева, 186. Privacy questions can be sent to vladslugin987@gmail.com.
This policy applies to the examie mobile app, student, parent and teacher portals, the public website and related services.
2. Age and parental involvement
A person under 13 may not create an account independently. Users aged 13 through 17 receive full access only after verified consent from a parent or legal guardian.
We request date of birth to apply age rules. A parent can see learning summaries and consent settings, but does not receive automatic access to the student’s private AI-tutor conversations.
3. Data we process
Depending on the role and features used, this may include:
- account data such as name, email or phone, language, role and date of birth;
- learning data such as subjects, answers, results, mistakes, progress and study plan;
- conversations and files submitted to the AI tutor;
- student relationships with a parent, teacher or class;
- subscription and payment status; examie does not store full bank-card details;
- technical data such as app version, device type, IP address, error and security logs;
- notification settings, consents and their change history;
- in the mobile app, the device advertising identifier and ad delivery data — only if you consented in the choice dialog shown before the first ad.
4. Why we use data
We use data for defined purposes:
- to create and protect accounts and apply age restrictions;
- to provide questions, explanations and a personal study plan;
- to calculate progress and provide reports to authorised roles;
- to process subscriptions and restore purchases;
- to send selected reminders and service messages;
- to prevent abuse, investigate failures and maintain security;
- to improve product quality using aggregated analysis;
- to show a rewarded video that unlocks a paid cheat sheet — a voluntary alternative to a subscription.
5. Grounds for processing
Processing may be necessary to perform the service terms, comply with law, protect users and infrastructure, or rely on separate consent. Consent can be withdrawn, although related features may stop working.
For a minor, the parent or legal guardian confirms the required consent through the product flow.
6. AI and automated personalisation
examie uses algorithms to select difficulty, schedule review and generate explanations. These recommendations support learning but are not an official assessment or medical, legal or psychological advice.
We apply safety filters and usage limits. Do not send unnecessary personal data to the chat. We do not make decisions with legal effects solely through AI.
7. Who may receive data
Access is limited to staff and providers needed to operate the service, such as hosting, databases, notifications, email, error monitoring, payments and AI. They receive the minimum necessary data under contractual instructions.
In the mobile app, ads are served by Google (AdMob). Ads are requested only after your consent and are limited to content suitable for a general audience; traffic is tagged as teen. Declining consent does not close any learning feature — paid cheat sheets remain available with a subscription.
Data may also be disclosed in response to a lawful authority request or to protect rights and safety. We do not sell personal data.
8. Retention and security
Data is retained while the account is active and as needed for the stated purposes, disputes, accounting and security. Category-specific periods are maintained in an internal retention schedule.
We use access controls, encryption in transit, security logs, backups and separation of secrets from client applications. No method is absolutely secure, so safeguards are reviewed regularly.
9. Your rights
A user or legal representative may request access, correction, a machine-readable export, withdrawal of consent, restriction or account deletion through settings or the contact email.
We may verify identity and authority. Records required by law or fraud prevention may be retained; remaining data is deleted or anonymised.
10. Policy changes
Each revision has a version and date. We will notify users of material changes and request renewed user or parental consent where required.
